Inside La Seduzione Veneziana

• Cipriani Classica Tagliarelle — Organic Egg Pasta, 250 g (8.82 oz). Exquisitely fine ribbons made in Italy from durum wheat semolina and egg. Their delicate texture and quick cooking time turn a simple supper into something special.
• Cipriani Organic Basil Pesto, 130 g (4.59 oz). A basil-first sauce with pine nuts, lemon and oils, prepared without garlic or cheese, so its fresh green character leads the way.
• Cipriani Organic Sansovina Tomato Sauce, 340 g (12 oz). Organic tomato, onion, carrot, basil and extra virgin olive oil make a beautifully balanced sauce with the natural sweetness of vegetables.

Verde: the basil affair

• Cook the tagliarelle in generously salted water according to the package instructions, usually just 3–4 minutes. Save a little cooking water. Off the heat, toss the warm pasta with pesto, loosening it with a spoonful of reserved pasta water until the sauce coats each ribbon. Finish with Parmesan if desired.

Rosso: the Venetian classic

• Warm the Sansovina gently while the pasta cooks. Toss the drained tagliarelle with the tomato sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed. Finish with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil, or freshly grated Parmigiano Reggiano.
• Lello’s serving note: Each sauce offers a separate way to enjoy the pasta. You do not need to combine the two sauces. Save whichever you do not use for another meal and follow each jar’s storage directions after opening.
