Common Good Unscented Laundry Detergent

A concentrated, unscented laundry detergent for clothing, towels and household linens. Common Good’s plant-based formula uses enzymes to help with everyday soil and works in standard and high-efficiency machines, as well as for handwashing.

About Common Good

Common Good is a small, women-led company in Brooklyn, founded by Sacha Dunn, a former prop stylist who wanted household products that worked, looked good on the counter and came in bottles you could refill. The detergent is triple-concentrated and plant-based, with an enzyme system for everyday soil, no dyes, phosphates or synthetic fragrance, and it is made to be refilled from Common Good’s boxes rather than bought again in plastic.

How to use

  • Use in front-loaders, top-loaders or for hand washing
  • Choose when added fragrance is unnecessary or undesirable
  • Use for household linens, clothing and everyday textiles

Questions

High-efficiency machines? Yes; it is low-sudsing and made for both HE and standard washers.

Table linens and napkins? Exactly what unscented is for: clean cloth that smells of nothing at the table.

Pairs with

The lavender version for the bedroom sheets; unscented dish soap. Everything we carry from Common Good.

Lello’s Point of View

Why we chose it. Unscented laundry detergent is the quiet luxury of a well-run home: clean fabric that smells like clean fabric, especially where fragrance would be intrusive.

What it makes better. It is particularly smart for napkins, tablecloths and kitchen textiles because nothing from the laundry room follows them to the dining table.

How we would use it. Make this the default for table linens and towels; use the lavender version when you deliberately want fragrance on sheets or clothing.

Who will love it. Fragrance-sensitive households, serious entertainers, linen collectors and anyone who prefers home products to do their job without announcing themselves.

Why it earns its place. Triple-concentrated, plant-based, enzyme-powered, HE-compatible and fragrance-free, it is a deliberately restrained product for something you use constantly.
