Made with a sense of place
Farmhouse Pottery began in Woodstock, Vermont in 2012, founded by potter James Zilian. These bowls are designed and wheel thrown in Vermont, carrying the studio’s thoughtful approach to useful, enduring pottery. Each is shaped and glazed by hand; subtle differences in form are part of its character.
Four bowls, countless uses
Whisk a vinaigrette in the Small, mix a cake in the Medium, proof dough in the Large, or prepare a generous batch in the Extra Large. The integrated pour spouts help transfer ingredients neatly, while the graduated bowls nest together between uses. The Full Set contains one of every size.

Lello’s Point of View
Why we chose it. The best kitchen objects are beautiful because they are useful, not instead of being useful. These Vermont-thrown stoneware bowls are made to mix, pour, proof and serve—and look better as they become part of the kitchen.
What it makes better. The integrated pour spout solves the irritating last step between mixing and transferring, while the graduated sizes mean the same design can handle vinaigrette, cake batter or a serious batch of dough.
How we would use it. Leave one on the counter with fruit when it is not working. Then whisk dressing in the Small, cake batter in the Medium and bread dough in the Large. Useful things should not need to disappear.
Who will love it. The baker, the serious home cook, the Vermont-craft collector and anyone building a kitchen slowly with objects intended to last rather than be replaced.
Why it earns its place. Wheel-thrown American stoneware, hand glazing, lead- and cadmium-free materials, broad appliance compatibility and five purchase options make this heirloom-minded kitchenware with an actual daily job.
How to use
- Small: vinaigrette, eggs, spice mixes and small prep jobs.
- Medium: cake batter, whipped cream, pancake batter and salads.
- Large: bread dough, large salads and family-style mixing.
- Extra Large: generous doughs, big batches and serving for a crowd.
Questions
Are the bowls identical? No. They are hand-shaped and glazed, so small variations in form and finish are part of the piece.
Can I use an electric hand mixer? Yes, according to the maker’s care guidance.
Do the bowls nest? The graduated sizes are designed to nest, which is particularly useful if you buy the full set.
