The Drinks Bakery began with a memory of Europe. In 1976, founder Andy Murray travelled across the continent with his family in a campervan, discovering a simple ritual along the way: wherever a good drink was poured, something thoughtful was served beside it. Years later, as wine, whisky, beer and cocktails became increasingly sophisticated, Andy wondered why the snacks accompanying them had been left behind.

That question became The Drinks Bakery — award-winning savoury biscuits created not merely to snack on, but carefully flavour-profiled to complement what is in your glass. Hand-baked in the Highlands of Scotland with natural ingredients, they bring the European aperitivo tradition to the modern drinks table. The brand later appeared on BBC's Dragons' Den, securing investment from Deborah Meaden and Peter Jones.

Mature Cheddar & Smoked Chilli

Powerful mature cheddar gives these biscuits a sharp, fruity richness and long savoury finish, while smoked chilli adds warmth and depth without overwhelming the palate. It is the boldest of the four: confident enough for fuller-bodied drinks yet balanced enough to keep you reaching for another.

Pair it with: smoky whisky, bourbon, an Old Fashioned, Malbec, Rioja, lager, cider or barrel-aged beer. The cheese stands up to intensity; the gentle smoke creates a natural bridge to the glass.
