About FILTHY

FILTHY started in Miami in 2009 with a complaint: the best bars were finishing careful drinks with chemically cured salad olives. Brothers Daniel and Marc Singer spent two years tasting olive and cherry varieties, then sold their garnishes one bar at a time, out of car trunks and on subway rides, until the bartenders started recommending them to each other. The olives are naturally cured queen olives, stuffed by hand in FILTHY’s own Miami facility with real Wisconsin blue cheese. Non-GMO and gluten-free.

Ingredients

Olives, filtered water, blue cheese (cultured milk, water, whey protein concentrate, cream, whey, flavor, skim milk, salt, sodium phosphate, sodium alginate, xanthan/guar gum, enzymes), vinegar, sodium benzoate, lactic acid, potassium sorbate and ascorbic acid.

Questions

How many cocktails per jar? About fourteen, at one olive a drink; fewer if you are generous.

The dirty martini, properly? Two and a half ounces of gin or vodka, half an ounce of dry vermouth and half an ounce of Ancient Olive Trees dirty martini juice, stirred over plenty of ice for about twenty-five seconds and strained into a cold glass. Two olives.

Do they need refrigeration? Only once opened. Sealed, they keep in the pantry.
