About Flamingo Estate

Flamingo Estate is a seven-acre garden in the hills of Los Angeles that its owner, Richard Christiansen, turned into a pantry and home brand: olive oil, honey, soaps and candles that begin with what grows there. Heirloom Tomato is its signature scent — the smell of the vine, green and peppery, rather than the fruit — and the dish soap is the everyday way to have it at the sink.

Questions

Is it a real dish soap or a pretty bottle? A real one: it cuts grease and rinses clean. The bottle is simply better than the usual.

Can it double as hand soap? It will not hurt you, but it is formulated for dishes. The hand soap is gentler and meant for skin.

Why we chose it. Dish soap is unavoidable; ugly dish soap is not. Flamingo Estate takes a sink-side necessity and gives it the green, peppery Heirloom Tomato fragrance that made the house distinctive.
