The Karoto Julienne by Monkey Business turns carrots, zucchini and cucumbers into fine vegetable strips and decorative curls. Designed by Avichai Tadmor, its oversized pencil-sharpener shape brings a playful touch to everyday preparation, with two stainless steel blades and a compact teal body.

Two ways to prepare

• Curl: turn a suitably sized vegetable in the sharpener-style opening to make decorative ribbons and curls.
